You are now floating on scenic Elk Lake, which extends before you generally
to the east and north.  South of here you may reach dry ground at a small
clearing.  You also notice that a small shack stands on the west side of
that clearing.
A largemouth bass happily swims about here.

A Small Clearing

You are pleased to note that you have stumbled upon a small clearing by
the edge of Elk Lake.  On the west edge of this clearing you see a tiny
wooden shack.  It may not be in the best condition, but it couldn't be in a
more beautiful location.  After all, the ground gracefully slopes down to
the edge of the lake, and from the doorstep there is a magnificent view of
Elk Lake and the many trees on the other side.  A large rope ladder rests
upon the side of the shack, allowing travel upwards unto what appears to be
a very old bridge.

The Eastern End of the Owl Creek Bridge
[Exits: west down]
This sullen bridge has definitely been through several conflicts, either
being small fights, battles, or perhaps even war.  Its scarred surfaces and
broken appearance tells the story of an old, aging bridge that its keepers
are leisurely trying to prevent its end.  It has a tendency to creak and
moan rather loud, but it seems to be rather at peace with itself and
war-torn history, for it seems rather peaceful now, existing in its own
little world here as a waterway below to the west serenades it at a low
volume.  On the other side of the water, is a cabin that is accessible by
climbing back down.  Despite its apparent mindless happiness, it knows that
it is currently, as it was in the past, a place of judge, jury, and
execution.

On Owl Creek Bridge
[Exits: east west]
The undulating sounds of a rolling stream soars through the creek, and up
through the grimy wooden flat timbers that the bridge is created out of.
Gazing underneath at the floorboard reveals that cracks and split fractures
have started to increase in the aging wood, allowing the below waterway to
be spotted.  The wind sweeps in the delectable flavor and aroma of nature, a
smell that only a man brought to his original roots could be grateful for.
It's a warming, expected environment that spreads throughout the rivulet and
bridge, as birds tweet endlessly and the sun beams rays of light down upon
the bridge.  Uproar is visible to the west, and looks as if there is
something happening.
